Wow, look at this wedding outfit. Not just a dress, an entire outfit! Leave it to The Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine to do this overly contrived fashion event/day/tradition justice. Love this girl. May she continue to have success in what she does, cause she totally deserves it.
Was riding my bike down Queen W today and came across the cool new pop up shop for North Star and Geoff Mcfetridge’s colab. Located at the back of another store, sorry can’t even remember what the shop was, I was so taken by the front mural of a running bear with the very adidas-esque running shoes on. Oh it was Magic Pony, that’s right.
No pop up should be without a babe to welcome you and North Star went all out. Short shorts, bleach blond hair, and of course repping one of the best tanks in the collection.
All of the stuff is very retro 70s skate style stuff with a lot of throwbacks to Canadian imagery. Moose, bears, arrows. They have taken the same model Roots works from and made it really cool. Kind of a skate edge to it.
I like it a lot. I used it in one of my style posts for Shedoesthecity.com (see below)
680 Queen W until Thursday.
Not surprising how Hollywood actresses still can’t seem to get dressed in any sort of real way, however there was a surprising standout in Sofia Vergara. The Modern Family actor pulled off a classy yet modern outfit that I think is divine. She tends to, in the past, up play her boobies, but tonight she kept the girls under wraps and it looks perfect. The stacked heels are how she brought the sex to the outfit. I prefer these types of subtle ways instead of the more common tits and ass way. Need I even explain Diane Keaton? What a breath of fresh air. Although I wish she would whiten her teeth. It ages her a bit.
What do you guys think?
Oh geeze. Ladies, Ladies. What are you doing? Normally Kim K has pretty good style, but this green velvet number is heinous. I mean really? It looks cheap. The belt should have been more empire and the shoulder detail is a waste of time. Look how it wrinkles the fabric. YIKES!
Alicia Keys, what a shame. She is so talented, but not when it comes to fashion. Wish she would have left the black nylons at home and took the belt off. The number one rule that is broken in fashion is too many accessories. She has so much going on around the collar that is all she needs. The dress needs to be longer for such a black tie event. It’s a bit daytime. I have never been one to like brown and black mixed together either. It always seems to look strange. She is so pretty but need a better stylist.
Oh Rosanna, what is going on here? Your boobies are pretty but this dress belongs to ladies who have no boobs. You have to give them something. You are better off with a push up showing the tops of your girls, not the inner sides. Yikes!
Personally I prefer Milan fashion week for men’s clothing. There is something a little too out there about the Paris shows. I can admire the Paris designer and their craft, but they often are too much for men’s wear. Milan however is classic, refined with a little bit of quirk. Let’s not forget the sex that comes into play when at Milan fashion week. Italians always bring the sex and I like that… A LOT!
Vivian Westwood
How AMAZING is this collection by Walter Van Beirendonck for his Winter 2012/13 collection? Totally wearable, funky ass men’s wear. The masks, gloves and occasional use of chains, give it that dark kick in the pants for the runway show. Only in Paris my friends, only in Paris.
